Generation II 5.4L M122-M140 Supercharger Kit.
B.P.T. are proud to display our 2nd Generation Positive Displacement (not to be confused with the P.D. Power Dyne which is a centrifugal blower supercharger) Ford Falcon Boss supercharger kits that actually fits under the hood. The P.D. kits consists of a new intake manifold, customer option of two styles of blower head unit including Eaton M122Gen5 M140 or Whipple, Optional intercooler assembly and control unit. High flow injectors and all necessary hardware to complete the conversion are included. This is the Supercharger kit that other companies measure by.
The new M122Gen5 used on our Generation II kit derives from the 2007 Shelby Cobra GT500 which originally sits between the valley of the US Built 5.4LV8. Unfortunately the head port configuration of the new GT500 is somewhat different from the Aussie 4 valve head so using the 5.4 GT500 manifold was blown out of the water. Instead we have utilized an adapter plate and mounted the M122Gen5 head unit on our existing designed manifold currently used with the M112 kit.
Power is staggering seeing full boost as low as 1500 RPM. As
seen, this kit provides 2 times the amount of torque as that found on a Boss
engine with all bolt on parts available on the market and accounts for up to 25
rwhp for every pound of boost. The P.D. has so much potential; we have designed
and built the hardware now it's time for Boss owners to have some fun.
Why a BPT Supercharger...click here The Eaton M122Gen5 flows 10 cui more air than the M112 that was used on the '03-'04 "Terminator" Cobras and BPT M112 blower kits. Other new features of the M122 upgrade include a larger intercooler core with 15% more cross sectional area for heat exchange to take place. Boost levels remain the same with 8 psi and 15 psi up option. Power output from this system is a comfortable 330-340 and 360-400 rear wheel kilowatts from the Boss 260/290 respectively.

Construction and quality of the kits components is unprecedented with the use of Genuine O.E.M. components, Laser cut front drive plate, and years ahead with research and development in comparison to our competitors which have yet to even produce a kit for the Boss engine with the same output and efficiency. The position of the new M122H supercharger coupled with its drive inertia means that some accessories have to be moved from the base sheave out to the second sheave to minimize belt wear and slip concerns. This allowed the alternator drive to be moved out to the 2nd sheave. The key to this “dual sheave” design was to arrange the accessories such that the forces on the crankshaft from the 1st and 2nd sheaves would be balanced. This reduces the bearing loads and prevents starving the #1 main journal oil feed. This not only creates a more favourable loading balance on the crank, but actually reduces the overall load on the crank compared to other Ford aftermarket supercharger kits. Functionally, this system allows for better belt wrap over nearly every single component with minimal slippage from a 6 rib system. The bonus about this new setup from BPT is the passenger side inlet entry into the Blower, Larger twin 60mm throttle body and the ability to retain the stock coolant expansion tank and power steering reservoir tank in their respective location this reducing the cost of manufacturing additional parts to complement the existing kit. PCM Recalibration is required with SCT Flash Tuner. We will provide tunes to current owners of Flash Tuner and/or provide a new Flash Tuner if desired at a discount price if purchased in kit form.
