By incorporating two electric drive motors coupled to a back swirl designed blade, maximum airflow in static conditions can be achieved with minimum disturbance to engine load. Heat exchange from the vehicle engine via the radiator is maximized for best cooling efficiency; road economy and power are also maximized. The electrical circuit consists of the main electrical harness, a set of 5 relays and two temperature sensitive switches on V8 models and one temperature sensitive switch for 6 cylinder vehicles. Air-conditioner input is also incorporated so that when vehicle is static there is sufficient airflow over the condenser to exchange heat out of the A/C system.

Universal Supercharger Intercooler Pump Controller.

Developed in house by BPT in conjunction with Hamilton Industries is this Universal pump controller originally designed for the Boss 5.4 positive displacement blower project.

Keeping the air discharge temp as low as possible on any blown engine application is a critical requirement for maintaining peak horsepower levels. The possible failure to maintain lower discharge temps drove us to develop a supervisory device that would monitor intercooler coolant flow and temp as well as alarm the driver of any possible intercooler pump malfunction.

Integrated into the controller are system L.E.D.'s for the aid in diagnostic purposes, these indicators advise on the stage of operation in which the intercooler pump and cooling system is at. The same start up delay and run strategy  from the 2003 - 2004 Mustang Cobra where the PCM controls these functions has been adopted and programmed into a micro processor incased in an aluminum housing.  An optional bypass switch which can be mounted in the cabin can be used to activate the pump unit to allow extra cooling earlier in cases where it might be required to gain that extra edge in power from the charger.
